Boat Ride and Birthday Weekend

This weekend has started out with having great times with friends. Friday we had a little birthday thing for my boss. We had cake and a gift for him but the best part of the day is when we closed the office and we all went to eat at our favorite local mexican resturant El Rancho. There we informed the staff of his birthday and they presented him with a song, sombrero, and fried ice cream. It was so fun! Happy Birthday Mike!!!

Today Lee and I went on his first boat ride with my best friend and her family. I believe he had a good time! I know I did! I can not wait till we can do it again. Here is a picture of him licking his boat coat with his friends Daniel & Hannah.

Gatlinburg 2010

This week our family visited Gatlinburg Tennessee. Well we actually stayed in Sevierville but we visited Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge also. We stayed at the Wilderness Water Park with Uncle Chris, Aunt Bethany, Andrew, Carson, Nana, and Pops which was awesome. We also met up with the Kirksey's a few times since they were vacationing there also. The rooms were a tad small at the water park but the lazy river made up for it. Josh and I rode the lazy river one day and I feel in love! It was part of a wave pool so at times you were pushed all over the place. Lee wasn't a big fan of the water but he had a good time with his cousins. It's funny because he had his first times for alot of things on this trip. I had to take him to a public restroom for the first time and Josh said how sad it was he was 5 mths. old and just now getting changed in public. Oh well . We had a great time and I am so glad we went.

Our Wonderful Weekend

We had such a great time this weekend. Friday I had the day off of work so it was so nice to wake up and get to play with Lee and get him ready for the day. I went to Murfreesboro to get some new jewelry for the wedding at Charming Charlies. I love that store!!! Later that afternoon we had the rehearsal dinner for Martha and Bobbys wedding. That was so nice and fun. It was outdoors and next to a pool so it was relaxing. Plus Lee loves being out side so he was the best baby that night! Saturday morning I had to work but the day got better closer to the wedding. Their wedding turned out so nice and everyone looked so beautiful! I had such a good time, well after the wedding anyways. I was really nervous about walking Lee down the isle as the honorary ring bearer. I did not get as many pictures as I wanted but here are a few I got through out the weekend.

This was the only picture I got at the wedding that turned out ok. Lee was still in his ring bearer outfit. His Aunt Tamie held him most of the night. She can make him laugh like crazy! Its soooo sweet!!

Anniversary

Gosh how the time has flown by. Yesterday was our 3 year wedding anniversary! I planned a day off of work just to use up vacation time before we get our new vacation time in July. When I told Josh I was taking off he said he could to so we could spend the day together. Boy was I excited! I never thought much about how hard it would be to never have any time just me and him before we had Lee. We use to go out to eat and shop on week nights like crazy. Thats just to hard to do now with Lee. He has a schedule that I dont want to mess up and I just hate having him ride in a car seat for a long ride to Murfreesboro. So anyway a day out of shopping and good food was just what I wanted on this anniversary!

Mother's Day

I had a wonderful Mother's Day. The morning started out not so good because we where late for church but thats not unusual for me. But the day started to get better when I received a very pretty potted hanging flower for being the mother with the smallest child in our church. Whoo hoo! We enjoyed a cook out at my grandparents with lots of family then later that night another cook out at my sister-n-laws (Bethany Tramel). We had so much fun eatting and playing with the boys. Even Bethany's mom had a good time with Baby Lee. ; ) We had already changed out of our dressy cloths and Lee had to borrow cousin Carsons shirt after he had an accident but we decided we needed a picture anyway.

Lee is doing so many new things now he is just blowing my mind! Just yesterday I caught him raising up on his belly which is huge since he use to just lay and cry with his face down. He is also eatting baby food as of last week. So far we have tried carrots and green beans. I dont believe he liked carrots to much.

Whoo hoo Mike won!!! Mike won the County Clerks race last night by quit a bit. And because he won means the girls and I have a job for 4 more years in our office. Gosh the time has just flew by. Lee Allen is 16 weeks this week. He is smilng and cooing all the time. Times are so busy right now with trying to get the house the way I want it with decor etc. and we have Boppas wedding coming up June5. He is such a good baby! Only thing we have to work on is his sleeping. He sleeps but its not a peaceful sleep. He will be kicking and grunting but his eyes are closed. Oh well I hope he begins to sleep well soon! We will be having our family picture made soon so I will post it when we do.

Lee is now 10 weeks old! He is doing so many new things! He likes to lay and fuss sometimes and it is so funny to me and Josh. We will set and laugh at him becuase he will fuss with some funny sounds then lay and wait a second to see if someone will get him what it is he wants whether it be to picking him up or putting the paci back in. Tax season is almost over for his daddy and we will be so glad when he can spend more time with us! Oh and I only have two more weeks off and I am so sad. Well I will be glad to be back in a routine and at work with my friends but he still isn't sleeping through the night. I am hoping that will happen soon!!! Mommy is so tired!

We purchased a new toy this weekend. Mommy was getting boring. He likes to lay and stretch out most of the time so I thought he might really enjoy something to look at other than me all day. Can you believe it? Vienna...really? I just cant believe Jake chose Vienna over Tenley! I was so disappointed but I really figured he would. Tenley would have made a perfect wife for Jake where as I am not so sure about Miss Vienna. Oh and the new bachelorette Ali, well I was never a big fan of hers either. I was hoping it would be Gia. Oh well. I was very excited to see the new cast of Dancing with the Stars! Kate Gossling looks so different than she use to. I cant wait to see if she can dance. Leave me a comment about the out come of The Bachelor if you watched it to.

Lee is 7 weeks old today! Time is going by so fast. He was doing so good and now he is so congested. I took him to the doctor Saturday because Friday night he scared me to death when he couldnt catch his breath from all the congestion. Well the doctor says its normal and there is nothing we can do for him but use saline drops. He has since gotten worse and I can tell he is just having such a hard time breathing through his nose. It breaks my heart because I can't fix it or make him feel better. I am praying this goes away soon!

On a brighter note Lee has began to smile. It is the sweetest thing. I can never tell when he will do it again so I havent got a picture yet. I hope to catch him in the act soon! Also Saturday afternoon he laughed at me. That was a first. The funny thing was I wasnt even talking to him, I was talking to my mom and he looked at me and laughed. I was so excited but he hasnt done it since. Saturday the Doc said smiling is still involuntary but it still makes me melt to see him do it!!

So help me pray for Lee to feel better soon. Even though it may be nothing he sounds aweful and I just want it to go away!! Aunt Bethany took some pics of him last Thursday night. She had a hard job trying to get a good one. He did not want to do without that paci. Here is a couple she sent me from that night.

Mr. Lee Allen will soon be 6 weeks old. This Monday to be exact which also means I will be making my 6 week check up to the Doc. Whoo hoo. Here are a few new pics of him from the past couple of weeks.

Growing Fast

I just knew when Lee was born I would be making pictures like crazy and blogging all about him. Wrong! I dont know where all the time goes. He will be 4 weeks old on Monday and that seems crazy! He is growing super fast. Here are some things we have learned about baby Lee
At his 2 week checkup he gained 2 oz. and grew 2 inches
He is such a grunter and makes all sorts of sounds which all get louder at night during bedtime
Speaking of bedtime...he likes to sleep during the day and keep mommy up all night
He has a love/hate relationship with his paci...he loves it sometimes and sometimes he acts like it repulses him
We have a game we play everynight where he has the paci then spits it out then wants it back lol
He does the cutest things with his mouth you have ever seen
He likes kisses
You can almost never get him to burp
He is starting to lose his pretty hair on one side
He fits perfectly into his newborn cloths which means soon he will be moving into the 0/3 mths :(

Finally...well he was 2 1/2 weeks early. I ended up having to have a c-section which was not all awesome as I had thought it would be but we are now home healing. He is such a good, handsome, sweet baby! Here are some pics we have took so far. Hopefully I will be able to post many more soon!

Sunday was the big day for the shower for Baby Lee! My sister in law worked so hard on making this such a special and memorable day! I wanted everything to be perfect and it so was! My only regrets are I didn’t get to talk to everyone like I would have liked and I didn’t get all the pictures I would have liked either. But I did get some good ones thanks to Justine : ) Lee has so many nice things thanks to all the great people who gave him gifts at the shower! We are so lucky to have all these people in our lives!! Here are a few pics of the day.

Super Weekend

I was busy busy this weekend. Friday night Josh and I made a quick trip to Cookeville to pick out stain for our front door. Saturday morning I had to work for a few hours then Bethany, Krissa, Hannah, and I went to the Autumn Street Fair in McMinnville. Wow was it crowded and there were bees EVERYWHERE! We fought the bees while we ate and then just when we were walking down one of the streets we thought we had escaped being stung Hannah starts screaming. She had been stung right under her eye while riding in her stroller holding her baby: ( Soon after she calmed down we looked and her eye was swelling fast so we left so that Krissa could get some Benadryl in her ASAP. But we did make a neat purchase from Tiaras and Tadpoles Boutique that day. I got a super cool diaper bag for the baby boy and Krissa got Hannah an awesome Christmas outfit. She has some really cool stuff for little girls!!

Sunday my family had a cookout and cake for my bday. Now this was a duo bday party for my cousin Derek and me. We were born one day apart 25 years ago this week. Our bday party has been together all of our lives. I have always loved him like a brother. Happy Birthday Derek Lee!!

So whats sad about this picture is that I didnt even notice his hand until I got home and was looking throught the pictures.

22 Weeks

At 22 weeks pregnant I am having a hard time finding pictures I even remotely care for of myself anymore. Going into this pregnancy I really wanted to take pictures along the way for the little one to see his mommy grow with him. Well now I can not stand to look at me pictures. I got Josh to take this pic after church today to report my progress.

Now days the little one is moving like never before. He kicks all day long. I feel it most when lying in bed at night and everything is calm. He seems really energetic which would not be after me but more like his dad. Yesterday we went to books a million and got him a baby book so that I can work on it before he gets here. I am so excited about the baby book because I love looking at mine and I am sure I will compare it to our baby’s progress one day.

The house is coming along so well! The painters started painting Friday which looked awesome! It is looking like we may get in by Thanksgiving. Well that’s what we are shooting for anyway. The rain has slowed the progress down on the outside and will continue to until it really dries up. We are so thankful the forecast for next week has no rain in it (well as of today anyway). It will be so nice to see some sun !!!

My Sweet Baby Boy!!

Yesterday was such a special day for us! My husband, mother-n-law and I went to my doctor to find out the sex of our baby. The lady took us back to the room to do the ultra sound and she could not get the baby to get in the position where we could tell what it is. Finally after she bothered it enough it moved and she said...it's a boy!! He is absolutely Perfect!!! He had the hiccups the whole time we watched him. He also yawned several times so Big. We were so excited she actually got the yawns on the DVD to show family. It made everything so much more real to be able to see my baby moving and doing so many things all by himself. I am posting a couple of the pictures we got of him. The first one is him laying the most still he was the whole time we watched. He was such a mover! The second picture is him moving his hand over his face. He seemed to like his hands around his face. Now I have to get serious about decorating his room in the new house. I pretty much have everything picked out I just have to OK it with the hubby and get it ordered.

Sunday's Weigh in

This weekend I had to make do without my hubby. :( He and his brother entered in a two day fishing tournament. Saturday they were fishing at Guntersville, AL and Sunday they were at Chickamauga, TN. This was the same tournament that they won a brand new Skeeter bass boat last year! Whoo hoo!! Oh and they came so close this year. I was for sure we would be going to pick up a new boat again because they were leading the tournament the first day but with no big bites on Sunday they fell to fourth place. Oh well better luck next time guys! Josh fishes in October on Clarks Hill on the South Carolina/Georgia border with first prize being a brand new truck and boat! So we are keeping our fingers crossed for that one!

His parents and I drove up to Chattanooga on Sunday to watch the final weigh in. I am so glad we did because we had a good time!

Today my good friend Krissa and I went shopping in Cookeville. We had such a good time looking around the stores and eating lunch. She also took me to her custom home still being constructed. It was beautiful! My husband also went fishing at Chickamauga Lake today. He brought home some pics of some fish he caught and was very proud of. I am putting the one he calls a "toad". This is fisherman's term for Big. Ha!!

Maternity Cloths

I am so excited I am finally to the point to where I look pregnant and not like I just over done it on the Donuts. I am to the point that where I can barely where my normal shirts anymore and pants are almost non existent. My sister-n-law Bethany gave me a bundle of her maternity cloths from the boys. They are fitting me perfectly which is awesome. Did everyone know that maternity cloths are soooo expensive? I was shocked and disappointed. I Love Love Love new cloths but as expensive as these are I will only be able to get a few since I wont be wearing them long. Here are a few pieces I found on the web that I like. My fav place so far is Old Navy. It has nice things for a pretty good price.

Making Progress

The house is moving along now so fast! Josh is keeping things lined up so that it is never setting without someone working on it. We want to move in as quick as possible because Hello its our new house but mainly we just have to be in before the baby comes. Well I know that will happen but I really want to be settled and feel good about it when the baby comes home. Well I was just excited and wanted to post a couple of pics of the amazing progress. 14 Weeks

This week I am 14 weeks and proud to say no more morning sickness! Things are going so great! I went to the doctor for my check up Monday and it took him no time to find the heart beat this time. He just put the monitor on my belly and you could hear it beating away. He said it started out at 150 but while he was pushing it went up to 160. We kidded that the baby already had attitude, like it was saying stop mashing around on me! So we did find out that we will find out the sex of the baby in 6 weeks! Oh my I just cant wait. Then I will able to plan so much better. Here is a picture Josh took of me to put back and see how much I had grown in 14 weeks. Now everyone I know says oh you haven't gained any...try fitting into my cloths! My sis-n-law gave me some maternity cloths I can grow into. I was proud to sport one of her dresses this day. It was so comfortable!

We also tried to make some pictures of Austin on Thursday for his 1st Birthday. Gosh that boy was all over the place. One of my favorite pictures is the second one I have posted because he had mischief all over his face. He kept wanting to crawl to Aunt Debra. The last one is when the cake was all said and done. He had it All over him! It was very funny. I don't know if his mom liked any of the pictures but we sure did have fun trying.

Visiting Taylor Ann

Wednesday afternoon I had the privilege of meeting Taylor Ann White for the first time! She has the most beautiful head of black hair. This is what I wish for my baby, what ever the sex I would love for it to have a full head of black hair. I know this is highly unlikely but hey it happened for them. Taylor's mom Tamera has red hair and her father John has light brown I believe. So anyway I am so excited for Tamera and John. What a awesome daughter they have! Yesterday we had our first appointment with the Doctor that will deliver our first baby. We decided to go with Cookeville per a good friends opinion. She had her first baby there and she loved this Doctor. He seemed very nice and comfortable! We did get to hear the heart beat for the first time. It was amazing! Everything is going smoothly and perfectly thank the good Lord!

Here are some more fun pictures from our recent trip to Florida. I tell you I am just in love with that place. The warm beautiful care free life we have when we are there is something I always hate to leave. We tanned everyday while we dined at all the neatest places every night. Ahhhhhh that was the life of leisure!Ha!

Hello there! Hope everyone is having an awesome Wednesday. I am tired, but our work day is almost over. We must begin packing for our trip tonight. We are leaving for Destin, FL Friday afternoon. I am not excited about the long drive down there but I am excited to get there. We have been to Destin ever year since I met Josh and his family.

So today I was reading on Bring the Rain and found this neat blog called pass it on baby. You can pass used children's clothing on to mothers and children who need help. It looks like a very neat thing. Go check it out.

1st Ultrasound

Well yesterday we made our way to the Doctors office to get our first ultra sound done. I was extremely nervous! The lady kept asking me if I was OK. I said yes just nervous. It was awesome to see the baby's heart beat. We both couldn't stop smiling when she left the room. I have such a wonderful husband and family who has listened to me whine non stop about the nausea I have been experiencing. I don't want to take meds and chance hurting my baby but I am sick from morning till about 6 everyday. And last night is was all night. If you have any suggestions on things to do please let me know.

Here is a picture of the ultra sound. It doesn't look very clear but there is a baby there. I can not wait to find out what it is so we can begin planning decoration for his/her room.

Fresh Start

Well it has been forever since I have been able to post. My camera card reader came up missing so I have been waiting Forever for a new one to arrive. Whoo hoo she came today!!

This month has started a new beginning in our lives. We learned we will have a new addition to our family and starting our first home! I am posting a picture of the spot where our home will be before anything construction starts. I can not wait to see what it looks like with the trees pushed off. Our framer came last night and put string where the house will be exactly. It was so neat to be able to stand inside and imagine what room you were in. Can you tell I am excited?!? I will post as construction begins...should not be long:)

Exciting News!!

The last few weeks have been so crazy with bible school, we are starting a new house, and vacation coming very soon! Well last week came the life changing news...we are having a baby!!!! I am so excited and so nervous at the same time. This will be our first child. We are so happy and just can not wait. I am sure it will seem like forever since I am only six weeks along. Happy Anniversary

Well today is my anniversary. Josh and I have been married for two whole years today. It has been so exciting and wonderful! We met at the Church of God and married a little over a year later at the same church. Both our families had gone there for a long time but we had never considered each other that way I guess. I have always known what kind of man I wanted to marry but I had no idea what God had in store for me. When we started to notice each other and families trying to get us to talk I thought he was a nice christian man but I had no idea how wonderful he was. I grew up a lot when I met and married Josh. He made me want to be everything he is. I thank God for letting me meet this wonderful man of God! I love him more everyday.

I would have liked to post more pics of the wedding party because we had some very generous awesome people be a part of our big day. The only problem with that is I could not find any of the professional pictures of all of us together. My mother law also put so much time and effort into our wedding! She is one of the best you could ask for. She is so selfless. Anything you ask her to do she will do it if its within her power. I love and appreciate her so much! All my pictures are courteous of Capture it Studios. She was the maid of honor, pregnant at the time, and my photographer. Talk about a big job.

In trying to do something a little different I have added these charmed necklaces to my collection. The first necklace shown is the "Love to Sing" necklace. I did have a 2009 charm I was saving for the right time and I lost it. Oh well maybe I will find it in the next day or two. Hope everyone has a good weekend. I think we could if it would Stop this raining! I had to work for a few hours this morning. I got up to find a flooded basement, an unhappy dog who cant go outside due to rain, and both bathrooms outlets would not work for the hair dryer. Tomorrow will be better though, it's Mothers Day! Here is my new Eiffel tower necklace. The silver Eiffel tower is accented by sweet pink, lavender and blue beads. I created this necklace for the craft show and it has been loved by many since then.

After the show this past weekend my husbands cousin Martha took some of my jewelry around to showcase and it went awesome! I am excited beyond words that so many people liked my jewelry. It really means so much to me that something I have put so much time and effort in might actually be going well. I just could not wait to see what people had liked and disliked. The only way it could have been better is if I had been there to talk with people as they shopped my jewels. Thanks to all those who bought from me! I appreciate it so much! First Jewelry Show

This last weekend was our first jewelry show. It was a very beautiful day for an outside event. My sister-n-law (BethTramelDesigns) and I worked as a team called 2 Hip Chicks. We had a really good day but it was pretty windy though. We were running after earrings all day seems like. We worked really hard to get ready for the show and I am very proud we did. Here is a few pictures of our booth. I would have liked to get one of us together with the booth but I didn't have anyone to take the picture:( And yes that is all of our junk in the back ground. We realized this after the picture.

Nashville Womens Show

So as you probably read in my last post my sis-n-law and I took a trip to Nashville Friday to the Nashville Women's Show. The plan was to meet Kate Gosselin and get our books signed but things didn't go as planned. We did get to see her and hear her answer questions but there were a ton of people their very eager to meet her as well. She was not signing books at that location either. Well at least got to see her in person and we were able to snap a few pics of her from afar. She was awesome! We had a fun filled day of shopping round and learning about new things. We also had to make a stop at the Hobby Lobby in Summit...Surprise Surprise. We are getting geared up for the craft fair at the end of April. This is our first time selling locally at a show so we are excited and nervous. I really hope it is fun and opens new doors for us as jewelry artists.

Bethany & I decided to have our locks lengthened. What do you think? Well we didn't actually buy them but we thought it would be fun to have our picture made anyway. I have never seen Bethany with long hair. We had a blast!

Saturday my family and I made a road trip to Nashville to see my cousins home for the first time. We were very excited to see her decor. Her home is filled with family heirlooms and great vintage style. My fav piece was her grandmothers pie safe. She also had brunch ready for us when we arrived. So we ate and just had a good time! We also had the best desserts, key lime bread and a sort of strawberry punch bowl cake. They were Delicious! After desert we traveled over to west Nashville to do some shopping. That's always fun for me!! After a fun filled day of good company, good eats, and shopping we headed home. Here are some of my favorite pictures of the day.

Copper is really in right now and I am in love with the bold fresh colors I am seeing in the new seasons clothing. I am so ready to hit the beach! I am just really ready to tan! We went over to a BDay party Bethany threw for Chris tonight and our friend Rachel who was there had been hitting that tanning bed. Needless to say I was jealous! So My husband and I are in love with Pizza Bagels so I thought I would share the recipe. If you have ever ate Bagel Bites from the frozen section of the grocery store you would just love these. They are a great snack for children. After buying alot of the bagel bites it becomes expensive so I decided to try to make my own big pizza bagels.

1/2 bagel (top or bottom)
2 1/2 tbsp pizza sauce
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Last week was my good friend Krissa Beers Birthday! I have been working with her for several months now and just love her to death. She ended up having to work on her Birthday so we had cake and ice cream at work. Now this was only the second cake I have made in my life so don't be to hard on my cake decorating abilities. I leave that up to the pros usually.
